Welcome to the info hub!

As with all other 'update'-type sections, all timestamps are in the UTC -3 hours timezone.

To-do list

Updates

  • Major site redesign - V8
  • Most pages can now be navigated via keyboard (though some pages that use the legacy non-popover code, such as the ones in game-stuffs, are still unaccessible.)
  • Previously separate pages 'sitemap', 'disclaimers' and 'credits' have all been joined into the singular 'info hub' page.
  • Most pages have separate 'updates' areas/tabs, so that it is easier to know if a particular page has changed instead of having to come here.
  • Persistent light theme! (previously the theme would only save for the current page, having to be toggled for each page individually...)
  • Past layout pages are no longer accessible and have been changed into screenshots. I hated the outdated info on them and also the upkeep of having to re-edit and properly categorize it all.
  • In the gallery:
    • Persistent filter choice.
    • Gallery entries have two new fields: date added to gallery and date posted somewhere else. Both are supposed to help in dating things better as there are many instances where I just can't post something to this gallery in the same day as I posted it somewhere else. Entries like this [-/-/-] means I only ever posted it to this gallery and entries like this [?/?/year] means I don't know when or if I posted it somewhere else.
    • New sorting menus: by character and by tag.
    • Ability to choose thumbnail size.
    • Ability to choose thumbnail type between square and fluid.
    • Images are now loaded and altered by filters via javascript.
    • Entries tagged with gore now display a description tooltip when hovered over.
    • Gore filters divided between 'moderate' or 'heavy'.
    • I went in and double checked a bunch of the older entries, added some extra junk I had lying around and 'fixed' some 'made in' dates that didn't match the ones on my hard drive. Some I could fix based on their stashed versions on deviantart but for a lot of them I'm relying on the image and .kra files metadata dates to be correct. I'm kind of regretting starting this whole system lol. Didn't feel like re-editing the signature stamps on them either so some of them have it, some don't.
  • Character index and character pages are queued to be remade and updated due to the image changes, which will require the script that produces the viewable image boxes to be reworked as well. They're currently broken because of that and will be reposted later.
  • Added entry for my halloween springtrap mask in the sculptures page
  • Revamped the sculptures page
  • Temporary palette change for halloween (blue sub-accent color changed to orange)

Layouts

[V8] Digimecha

going back to a more skeuomorphic base and taking advantage of being better at styling things, this was spurred at first by how barebones the gallery and some other older pages were plus my preference for a material feel that never quite left my mind.

[V7] Flatpat

Previously called 'mono orange', I kept improving this design overtime and as such while I consider the original and the improved one part of the same version they're technically different. I think I only have a backup of the original index, so the version shown is the updated one. (partly bc it's better anyways and partly bc im too lazy to fix the older one lol)

it still follows pretty much the same graphical language of V5, but more matured(?) as my skills with css and html were getting more polished. it's deliberately flat as to make it easy to design, though this would ultimately lead to its downfall.

[old description] even though i'll forever heavily identify with celestial themes.. i also identify a lot with this one. it's one of my favorite top tier palettes! it's part of the set of 'slightly tinted monochrome + accent color' palettes which you'll notice is also very similar to V5 because of the same underlying logic of picking the colors. and it's also a palette which i heavily associate with modern things (it's a very well known usage of them, really) and dusk, those orange streetlights.. ooh so pretty! i'm also crawling back to a simpler, flatter graphic design for everything, which is also what i associate with these colors. i started considering it on sept 7th and i just happened to get around to it in my beloved halloween month, which is a fun coincidence. oh how lovely when things match naturally

[V6] (Celestial)

No big reason other than I got tired of the old layout. It's still a great layout! But the novelty wore off. And I identify much more with celestial themes, even if they dont really represent my art or website content but whatevs

[V5] (Graphic Purple)

Gave up on trying to apply materials and what i could of skeuomorphism, i was going nuts trying to figure out what'd be holding the panels (info boxes) so I settled on a more 'graphical' design, since it also hits closer to the style i go for in my art anyways.

[V4] (Skeuo-dark)

I'm not sure I can pinpoint to a specific style I'm going for, but it's supposed to evoke a material feel. The content boxes are supposed to be glass, and the colored parts are supposed to be metallic or like varnished n whatnot. It's all really reflective :3

Prototypes

[V3.3]

Getting close to V4! The glass panel has been cemented as the core idea now, while the header with its cut corners was also giving me trouble. The other panels that'd serve as the boxes would still be tiled (though they aren't present here) - one of the things this design was going for the most was mobile compatibility, since it'd look really similar to desktop.

[V3.2]

Another layout. The header was supposed to have those cut corners on both opposite edges but they were giving me so much trouble that I moved on to another layout (that's what the asdsasda box is testing for lol). It was also supposed to have a finished pagedoll in the empty left space.

[V3.1]

Very rough draft of what would be a layout where the panels would be supported by mechanical arms! I gave up on it due to how the joints would go over the panel itself (I'm guessing due to layer priority?) and, even though it can technically be fixed with z-index, I felt like I wasn't literate enough in the code to fix the layering issue. Maybe someday I'll return to this idea..

[V2]

This one went for a classic harlequin pattern on a sticky header and a very organized/tiled design. I also decided to exchange the orange for the classic yellowish-green accent. I really like how the header turned out, with the tabs and the gradient. But I eventually found the tiled arrangement too boring.

[V1]

(technically started on sep 15) The very first layout! I'm not sure what made me want to redo it, to be honest. It really makes sure to use the maximum amount of screen space, eh?

[V0]

The one and only.. placeholder page! Just so that it wasn't that boring default neocities index.
Its creation date doesn't match with V1 because apparently I only felt bad about the default index after coding V1 for a bit. I also used it to test background animations and css effects.
